What Do Our Reviews Have To Say?

Are you looking for an easier way to install your finish carpentry? Trim, molding, and other finish components can be installed professionally and quickly thanks to this Hitachi power finish narrow crown stapler. With a simple flip activation that provides easy transitions in the actuation process to a magazine that can hold up to 100 staples when full, it’s never been easier to transform the look of a room when you’ve got this tool in your hands.

Why the Hitachi Narrow Crown Stapler Works So Well

We had a room that was absolutely destroyed by a large dog that had to be fixed. The dog had scratched and chewed the molding, trim, and door jambs so that that many components were virtually unusable. After filling the jamb scratches with putty, while that was drying we took off the damaged trim and molding to install the new components.

Here’s what we discovered while using this tool for the job.

  • Zero cracking. Hammering in trim nails can be ridiculously tedious. Sometimes the wood even cracks on you if you put your fasteners in the wrong space. We had zero cracking and zero damage to the trim while using this machine.
  • Zero marring. This is because of the tip that is installed on this Hitachi staple gun. There was no scarring that needed to be remedied when we were finished. We could fill in the the fastener holes and be done.
  • Zero exhaust problems. You can direct the exhaust port of this staple gun to wherever you need it to be. That way it’s never bothering you while you’re using the staple gun.

We had the trim and molding completely installed before the putty we’d put into the door jamb had completely dried. This allowed us to be able to sand down the jamb and prepare it for painting after the installation and saved us more than an hour of downtime overall.

It also works with a variety of different materials. If you’re installing synthetic trim, for example, the experience we found was the same as if it were being used with real wood.

Is Hitachi the Best Brand For Your Next Staple Gun?

Hitachi isn’t a brand name that is often associated with staple guns. People think of names like Rapid, Senco, or Bostitch when it comes to a quality product. We’ve tested many staple guns from many different brands and are pleased to report that this narrow crown stapler from Hitachi can stand up with the best the competition has to offer. This staple gun is a workhorse and delivers a consistently strong performance on any number of tasks that may need to be completed.

With that being said, we would make one change: the ribbon spring that keeps the magazine shut can pop off on you from time to time. If you can deal with this one issue, then you’re going to have an incredible experience with this Hitachi staple gun.

get the exhaust ports nice that way you can deflect your airflow to stay out of your face wherever you’re shooting at it’s got a nice rubber grip to it mm-hmm it doesn’t slide around in your hand but it’s extremely light it was happening Barnaby here so you want to know more about the Hitachi quarter-inch 18 gauge crown stapler well I can tell you that it fires staples that are half to one and a half inches long it’s got a narrow nose so you can get good placement in tight spaces and it comes with the inlet nipple hmm so what we’d like to do with tools like this is put them in the hands of guys like Travis a known trim master out on the jobsite who is very particular about the way things look so it’ll be interesting to hear your take on the performance the design the quality and the value of this like would you recommend it to somebody so first let’s talk about what you’re known for in the world of trim custom woodworking stairways kitchens Mantle’s that type of thing is my specialty and basically anything in a house inside and out top to bottom okay well so what sort of work were you doing with this I was doing some cedar work some cedar soffit work and some tongue and groove work underneath the porch how did it do worked excellent like the gun a lot okay so did you have any misfires any uh proud sets a couple of them were a little proud but that could have been due to just a big old not behind the material that I was shooting through okay well you know you probably in your years in the business have used a lot of 18-gauge ground staplers so where does this one stack up um it stacks right up there with the top of the list I’ve got the older version of this at home and I loved that one and I think I’m gonna be just a satisfied overall with this one okay well then let’s talk about design it’s got some things going on there take me through it the design features on it it’s got a flip trigger here that I didn’t use very much for multiple shots okay it’s got a depth adjustment here for you know when you change through materials yeah you get your depth precisely right right which is a nice feature it’s got the quick release here in case you do get a jam you just got to pop this little rubber cap off of here and then this flips open and clean out your Jam and pop right back together okay and you know it’s interesting I’m seeing that it’s almost as if it’s missing a piece right here because most times the fasteners are just concealed right right I like I like this because you can see exactly how many staples you’ve got left mm-hmm you know it’s easily loadable unload a bowl change out your nails or staples and you know it’s quick accurate I like it all right and you know you’re up on a ladder or scaffolding a lot of times when you’re doing trim you know up on the ceiling where’s the belt hook on there there isn’t one on this which is the only thing they didn’t really care for not enough to determine whether I’d want the gun or not but they make aftermarket clips that you can put on here or little hooks that you can put on your belt and hook it on yeah it’d be nice if it came with one but not a necessity okay and your hand right here are you concealing me yes you are the exhaust port right there yeah the exhaust ports nice that way you can deflect your air flow to stay out of your face wherever you’re shooting at you can direct it in any direction you need it okay and what goes out must come in and so for that I made mention that it comes with the nipple right there it’s interesting because that’s kind of a coin flip with staplers right and nailers in general yeah some manufacturers will send out the nipple some won’t I like the fact that they do it keeps me from having to search through my shop and find one okay all right well let’s talk then about the feel of it in your hands because it looks light but is it it’s very light it’s got a nice rubber grip to it mm-hmm if it doesn’t slide around in your hand but it’s extremely light moves around really easy even with the air hose hooked up to it okay well you know it’s interesting because a lot of times when a tool is light and now we’re gonna get into quality here people go well must be made of some like you know just flimsy stuff is your sense if this is that it’s gonna hold up over time if it’s anything like my last one it’s got some you know aluminum cache body like my last one so that one’s been great so I’m sure this one’s going to be just as great it’s got you know the plastic hard plastic mm-hmm for the for the nail slide here and seems durable but very lightweight okay what then about the value proposition you’ve owned one like this before it’s still in use yeah was actually the reason why I picked up the one in the first place okay because of the cost and I was just extremely pleased with how well it performed after that – and so you think this downline descendant is going to be of the same pedigree yes cost seems to be right there with the last one that I bought mhm and you know bang for the buck totally worth it alright well I’ll tell you what he used it a bunch and has it’s a great granddad apparently as well still in his toolbox and so for that it’s all about getting the real story from people who have actually had their hands on the tool before you buy it real stats from real dudes making it real easy to figure out which tool is right for you you

hitachi 2 inch stapler N5010A 1/2 inch crown stapler

Video Transcript

hey youtube today i’m reviewing the hitachi two inch stapler model and five zero one zero ten and the reason i’m reviewing it’s because i couldn’t find any reviews online for this on youtube for this katachi stapler it’s a half inch crown stapler which is awesome this is what exactly what I needed everything you find at Home Depot and Lowe’s is usually a quarter inch and they don’t even sell it at the stores the only place I was able to find it was an amazon.com and I think it was like 260 I know it was over 200 bucks this is way more than I expected to pay for a tool like this but I know what now it’s worth every penny and I’ve had it for like about six months and it saves me a lot of time and with my application what I do so before you see we use Brad nails and I had to press down and punch I’ll show you guys yeah and I used to punch for Brad nails here here here and then on the top also so that was eight eight times I had to do that and I had to press down for each time so that so that the gap is closed on the front of this grill cover now with this hitachi stapler with a half inch crown with two staples is fast enough and the pressure presses down so hard that i don’t have to press down myself the stapler itself pushes it down so hard it always leaves a nice clean line through the front of the grill one thing that’s bothered me since I’ve had this I realize that trigger is very sensitive so out the box this is how it comes set up it pushes in the staples pretty deep so you could see there it it’s covering the first roller number so it’s about 1/8 that is pushing that’s way too much then the other thing that about the stapler is on the right fire which I didn’t know I had is sometimes now I’ve been I’ve gone a lot better at controlling the rapid fire but you see there has double staples that’s what the rapid fire does this it’s been a lot of practice to get it to this point where I could not have double fire or rapid fire here’s another rapid fire here’s another rapid fire and you see how hard it presses down it just breaks the wood off but this is through the back so nobody sees this or really cares nowadays but to me the rapid fire sometimes seems like let’s see see they could see two staples they were right next to each other and I was just trying to do one so I was I bought so to solve that they saw this kit this is the like I said to do the single fire and I was looking at the instruction how to disassemble this it seems pretty complicated says this assemble the valve area I don’t know if they meant this or the front or whatever or the here in the front I don’t know what they meant but I did look at the manual finally after doing it and I said you know let me adjust this height so that to put it at ground level and and now this is what it looks like I don’t mind like again I this is through the back so now it’s level with the wood which is great and then another added benefit of having adjusted though the height of that I can’t make it through the rapid fire I’m gonna try to I’m gonna hold the trigger down and see if it does it just does one at a time you know that whatever there’s nothing like that didn’t make it rapid fire right now which is great which is awesome so I think I just might have spent like 60 bucks for no reason what Saul I said have just read the manual and adjusted the height of the staples and you could see this is good enough for me this is how it is so here’s another example of rapid fire it’s so sensitive sometimes you pull away really fast and it just does two at the same time and and that’s the issue but apart from that rapid fire I would’ve known was rapid fire I probably wouldn’t have bought it I just bought it blindly because I didn’t any videos on YouTube that’s why I’m making this video about this tool but it’s a great tool hitachi makes awesome stuff I would definitely recommend it and actually if I ever buy a quality nail gun again I am going to buy Hitachi I have a the cheapo Harbor Freight stuff that I need to change every few months but it does it’s called I don’t mean to offend anybody has those I use them a lot too and then I have the black in hand which other tools this one I used a lot also the Porter Cable this is a great tool also I’ve had this for over maybe like two and a half year three years and still works as a bit as the first day this is the one that got from Harbor Freight Harbor Freight and it’s my third one within that time frame so excuse you an idea but the price is amazing but I think I’ll invest in just a good one next time you just buy Hitachi even though this core this one right here from Amazon cost me about I think to sixties and like don’t want something like that and so there’s my review so now you guys know that if you do buy this no just note that it’s a rapid-fire I haven’t even looked at this box from when I bought it I just opened it started using it right away everything works so I could have saved myself so I’ll leave it here in case you guys want to read anything there for a second on the box I don’t know what that is that’s pretty cool sense so I could use different size tip as long as they have crown and this is using a 16 gauge 16 gauge happens ground cool and then here’s the mother I guess information that somebody might want to know find you warranty runs out and I have it I set to about 100 psi for what I do and it works fine so YouTube so here’s my review I don’t do this much so I know some people are gonna criticize the editing I don’t know how to do any of anything so I’m just gonna post it just the way record it today and that’s pretty much it all right you too I hope you I hope this helps somebody okay alright

Hitachi NT50AE2 18 Gauge Brad Nailer // Unbox & Review

Video Transcript

hey what’s going on guys Jimmy the general expert here on YouTube today I’m bringing you an unboxing and first use of this Hitachi 18 gauge brad nailer this is pneumatic of course and I will be mating it up to my Machida m.a.c 700 big bore air compressor all of which you can find links down in the description below this video so today I had kind of a big job I had to put cord around along the entire perimeter of this house these wood floors were recently refinished and all of the cord around on the baseboards were taken off so that the the finish could go all the way up to the baseboard and now the quarter rounds are being replaced I’ve never owned a brad nailer well except for one from Harbor Freight years ago that seemed to deteriorate from non-use but I did a little bit of research and I came up with you know you have the DeWalt you have a Makita and then you have the rigid and then you have the Hitachi those were my couple of options I went to Lowe’s and I found the Hitachi there and the price seems pretty good 69 bucks it said it was originally 89 I looked it up on Amazon you know I tried to price match and do all that stuff I looked at reviews there was a ton of reviews that were not only on Lowe’s but also on Amazon that said this thing was great and so I decided hey I’m gonna pull the trigger on this one was the lowest priced one I could find but I know that from what I’ve been seeing on YouTube Hitachi makes really really high quality pneumatic tools alright so upon opening the case here which is a nice hard shell case I do appreciate that you are greeted with a set of safety goggles and a spot to keep them in that’s pretty cool alright and of course you have the gun look at this baby you know I really really like the color this this Itachi tools are all kind of the same color right I mean this kind of seafoam green color I guess I don’t know what you’d call it but maybe they have an actual name for it here is the cartridge and you can see there the yellow tabs that actually stick out to alert you that you are running low on nails you also have a clip there in the front which is easily located to remove a jam on the back here you can see there’s an arrow that kind of points to where the exhaust is going to shoot out so you can actually angle that by turning this knob here and have the exhaust shoot out a different way so you’re not getting hit right in the face the rubber grip feels good it feels good in the hand and you also have some power adjustments here and the hook up is angled upwards it does say oil daily okay to install the nails all you do is you get a sleeve of nails these are two inch and basically just put them right in the slot there and after that you’re just gonna push the mechanism shut and it clicks chef’s just like that also I read the instructions on what they want you to do in terms of oiling the unit and it says to use the hitachi you know pneumatic oil that they have I don’t have that so I and I went ahead and put about five to ten drops it says into the air port there what i used was this zoom spout oiler it’s just kind of a general purpose oil not sure if this is much different from the pneumatic oil that they recommend but it’s all I had so I went ahead and used it alright guys so we’re gonna go ahead and nail in this threshold here just to give you an idea this is eleven sixteenths at its thickest point the wood is hemlock and we’re nailing into white oak you’re supposed to just kind of depress the the safety and fire and that is perfect I haven’t even adjusted this tool but that looks like it sank perfectly in there not too deep not too shallow oh man you guys got to see this so I shot a nail in and I guess the exhaust was pointed in such a direction that it actually lifted this plastic piece off I thought the gun just broke but in reality it’s just glued on taped on piece of plastic so that’s fine I can fix that you know a little bit of Gorilla Glue or something in there all right guys well that is my unboxing and first look at this Hitachi 18 gauge brad nailer but I just want to stress it is important to wear ear protection as well as eye protection you can see I am wearing the safety glasses that Makita supplied with a kit that’s it guys if you guys thought this was cool please hit the thumbs up subscribe and I’ll see you in the next video thanks guys
